Wain Johnstone


 

Wain has been djing since 2002. After being a regular ‘at the front’ clubber Wain soon decided that he wanted to be the other side of the decks. In 2006 he got his chance to play for a small local night called ‘Bounce’ in Basingstoke.

 

After playing for Bounce twice they asked him to be their resident. Thanks to this and the popularity of his ‘Smile’ demo cd’s he soon began to build a reputation for playing uplifting fun hard dance using early interesting mixes and keeping the tempo high!

 

Soon other promoters started booking him. Wain has been lucky enough to play for Contagious, Frantic, Nu Religion, Polysexual, B2T,Sundissential, Raindance and Wildchild amongst others. The highlight of Wain’s dj career came when he played on the Contagious sound stage at Global Gathering 2007 b2b with Caz Wood in front of over 1500 people.

 

Wain started producing in March 2007 and has done over 20 tracks, 5 of which have been official releases. He has worked with the Audio Hedz, CL Studios and Scott Fo Shaw, Tom Berry & Technikal. His tracks are uplifting fun tunes that would fit perfectly into peak time sets and make him stand out from the crowd.
